Proposal Peak had the opportunity to take the stage at UN: BLOCK 2026 in Riga, with Edgars Poga and Edgars Blodnieks representing our team and pitching what we are building.
UN: BLOCK brought together founders, investors, regulators, financial institutions and technology companies, creating a strong meeting point for conversations around innovation, fintech, investment and the future of technology.
For us, one thing stood out clearly: many of the conversations at UN: BLOCK connected directly with the problem Proposal Peak is working to solve.
Access to institutional opportunities is still fragmented
Companies looking beyond traditional commercial sales can find opportunities through EU tenders, grants, United Nations procurement, World Bank funded projects and other public funding and procurement channels.
The challenge is finding the right ones and understanding whether they are relevant.
Opportunities are spread across different platforms, programmes and institutions, each with its own eligibility requirements, procurement rules, documentation and deadlines.
For a company, knowing that an opportunity exists is only the beginning. The more important questions are:
- Is this relevant to our company?
- Are we eligible to participate?
- What role could we realistically have?
- What are the compliance requirements?
- Is the opportunity worth pursuing?
These are exactly the questions behind the development of Proposal Peak.
Bringing Proposal Peak to the UN: BLOCK stage
Being selected to pitch at UN: BLOCK 2026 gave us the opportunity to present Proposal Peak and the problem we are solving to investors, founders and other ecosystem experts.
Proposal Peak brings together funding and procurement opportunities from multiple sources and helps companies identify opportunities relevant to their profile.
This includes European grants and tenders as well as international procurement opportunities.
The pitch also gave us the chance to highlight something we see regularly when working with companies: access to opportunities is only useful when companies can also understand the fit, requirements and what it will take to compete for them.

Connecting with the technology and investment ecosystem
UN: BLOCK 2026 gave us the opportunity to introduce Proposal Peak to people approaching innovation, investment and technology from different perspectives.
It was also a valuable chance to discuss how technology can make complex institutional markets easier for companies to navigate and help them identify where they have a realistic opportunity to participate.
A sincere thank you to UN: BLOCK for the opportunity to pitch and be part of the event.
We also want to thank the jury and organisations involved for their time and attention, including Mastercard Lighthouse, Accelerace, Mendoza Ventures, Funders VC, Latvian Business Angels Network, Evotym, VALUEX and FinForta.
For Proposal Peak, UN: BLOCK 2026 was another opportunity to present what we are building, meet people across the European technology and investment ecosystem, and continue conversations around better access to institutional funding and procurement opportunities.
